My First Reaction to the Trailer
When I first watched the new Wolverine gameplay trailer, my jaw actually dropped. I’ve played enough of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games to expect slick, cinematic action, but this was something else entirely. The violence was front and center—claws slicing through enemies, blood flying, and a grittiness that felt brand new for the studio.
Why the Violence Makes Sense for Wolverine
I know some people might see the brutality and wonder if it’s too much, but to me, it makes perfect sense. Wolverine isn’t Spider-Man. He’s never been the wisecracking, family-friendly type. His claws are weapons, and using them should have consequences. Seeing Insomniac finally embrace that side of Logan honestly feels overdue.

How It Stacks Up Against Spider-Man
Playing as Spider-Man is about webbing up bad guys, knocking them out, and moving on. It’s fun, sure, but it’s also safe. Wolverine is different. He doesn’t just stop his enemies—he cuts them down. Watching the trailer, I felt like Insomniac was making it clear this won’t be another PG-13 superhero adventure. It’s going to be raw, messy, and unapologetically violent.

Why I Can’t Wait
I’ve wanted a Wolverine game like this for years. Something that doesn’t water down who Logan really is. If this trailer is any indication, Insomniac is finally giving us that experience. And honestly? I can’t wait to pick up the controller and dive in.
